Air VIA is registered in 1990, as the first Bulgarian private airline. It is certified according to the Bulgarian and European standards for transport of passengers and cargo.

Initially, Air VIA operated five Tupolev Tu-154M aircraft, but from 2006 the company switched to Airbus A320-family aircraft and during our strongest years we operated five A320/A321. Currently, Air VIA operates 2 aircraft Airbus A320. We were the first Bulgarian airline tointroduce this type of aircraft on the Bulgarian market in 2006. All aircraft within our fleet are kept in excellent working condition to ensure safety, reliability and punctuality.

Instrumental for the success of Air VIA between 1994 and 2011 was the late shareholder and managing director Michael Donsky, who was an inspiration for the whole team of Air VIA.During the past 15 years Air VIA has been the major service provider to TUI and Thomas Cook – Germany for the Bulgarian charter market and has been frequently ranked No.1 in the TUI Quality of Service Chart.

We have built up excellent relationships with the biggest European tour operators, the major aircraft leasing companies and with Airbus Industries SA.
